Other rants by celebrities have been thoroughly documented as well. The fact is, anger rarely comes across well in 140 characters or less. Our adoring public never has the context of our emotions or the facial and physical cues that would normally help complete the story. Whether we intend the damage or not, it’s quite possible for a ministry or professional reputation to be destroyed in a matter of seconds due to an ill-advised status update.

We need to find a way to be careful about walking the line between being transparent and being misunderstood. It takes seconds to post an update but much longer to embrace the consequences and repercussions of those few seconds and few words we transmitted across the Internet in a moment of poor judgment.
